Privacy policy.
How we handle the information you share with us through this website. In short: we collect very little, we never sell it, and we use it only to respond to you.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the website at https://www.pasteradpc.com, operated by Pastera Direct Primary Care ("Pastera," "we," "us") in Arcadia, California.
It does not cover your medical records or the care you receive as a member. Once you enroll, your health information is protected under federal and California health privacy laws and handled as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you'll receive at enrollment. If you use our membership platform to enroll or communicate, that platform's own privacy policy also applies.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site, such as the employer inquiry form, or when you email us, we collect what you choose to provide:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to share it
- The membership you're interested in, and any questions or notes you include
- For employer inquiries: your company name, work email, and approximate number of employees
Information collected automatically. Like nearly all websites, our web host automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. These server logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
Information that stays on your device. The symptom checklist on our menopause care page works entirely in your browser. Your selections are never sent to us or stored anywhere else.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To send occasional updates about the practice, only if you ask us to. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prepare group membership proposals for employers who ask
- To operate, maintain, and protect this website
4. When we share it
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers that help us run this website and communicate with you, such as our web host, email provider, and form-processing service, and only as needed to provide those services
- When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of our patients, our practice, or others
5. Third-party services on this site
To display the site properly, some content loads from outside services. When it does, your browser connects directly to that service, which receives your IP address and basic browser information and is governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts provides the typefaces used on this site.
- Google Maps displays the map of our office on our About and Join pages. Google may set cookies when the map loads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Our form service receives the information you submit through our forms so it can be delivered to us.
- Hint, our membership enrollment portal. When you click "Become a member" or "Enroll now," you leave this site for Hint's secure portal, where the information you enter is governed by Hint's privacy policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
6. Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or tracking pixels. Your browser may store a small setting in temporary session storage while you browse; it isn't used to identify you. Third-party services described above, such as Google Maps, may set their own cookies.
Do Not Track. Because we don't track visitors across websites, our site doesn't change its behavior in response to "Do Not Track" browser signals. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first.
7. Medical information
Please don't send personal medical details through our website forms or by regular email. These channels are meant for general questions, not medical care. We'll discuss your health privately and securely once you're a member. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
8. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe: every update email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us.
- Access, correct, or delete: email us to ask what information we have about you from this website, to correct it, or to delete it. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
- California residents: you can request information about how we've shared your personal information. We don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
9. How we protect information
This site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we limit access to the information you send us to the people who need it to respond. No method of transmitting or storing data online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Pastera cares for adults 18 and older, and this site isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website and services change. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
